Free Summer Kids Camp
Join us this July 17-21th (10am-12:30pm) where kids ages 3-12 will learn about Jesus in a super-fun setting! Kids will enjoy fun games, music, story time, snacks, and team competitions for prizes! Plus, each camper will get a free t-shirt to wear to the camp!
What is it?
Each summer, The Mission Church enjoys offering events for families in our community to get together, have fun, and learn about God’s extraordinary love for people! Last summer we had more than 100 kids and leaders join us for “REWIND: A Jesus Adventure”, and it was a blast! For this year’s SPYCAMP, we already have 20 adult and teenage volunteers signed up, and we can’t wait for it to start!
The Campers will be assigned to groups of 3-4 kids led by adult/teen volunteers at the beginning of the week, who will stay with them to take them through stations including games, snacks, crafts, story-time, and music. Each station will be built around teaching the theme (or “Big Idea”) of the day. Kids are encouraged to wear their t-shirts (and team-identifying) bandanas each day.
You might be wondering…
What time is the camp?
Camp starts at 10am and ends at 12:30pm.
What are you going to teach on?
This year, we are planning for a “Secret Agent” themed kids camp. Each day, the campers will be introduced to a special secret agent who will teach stories about other “agents” in the Bible who each had missions of their own to accomplish. These secret agents will teach us about our mission: to tell others about Jesus!
Are parents welcome to join the fun?
Absolutely! We would encourage all of our campers parent’s to stick around for one, or all of the days! In fact, we could always use a few more helping hands…so if you’d like to volunteer to help out any or all of the days of camp email us here!
Where is the Camp being held?
We will be meeting at the South Jordan City Park Pavilion (11000 S. Redwood Road, South Jordan) again this year (same as last year). Even if it rains, we will be meeting in the covered pavilion, then adjust the day’s events to accommodate the weather.
